Good to hear a quality service story but then the good ones don't often get posted do they.
The only pdi issue so far with Y100 is the attached, poor stitching. BR have offered to sort it as they are organising some extra seat embroidery for me anyway.

Why not get it sorted under warranty? The only pdi issue so far with Y100 is the attached, poor stitching. BR have offered to sort it as they are organising some extra seat embroidery for me anyway.

3rd time lucky. This time mech spotted the fault (clicking from OSF when on tight left handers) and diagnosed faulty wheel bearing. Not of the 'imminent failure' type more of the 'damn annoying' but will be sorted next week thankfully.
Have heard of clicking on cars with floating rotors and it was caused by carbon deposit build up I was told. GTRs are fairly renown for this and cure is a complete strip down and clean of front brakes. May be this that is causing the noise??

On a 2 month old car with 1000 miles on the clock? Or at least it was when I first reported the 'feature'May be this that is causing the noise??

I'm no mechanic, maybe one of those noises that you will have to live with for a while until process of elimination is completed. If bearing changed and noise comes back then brake rotors may be area worthy of more investigation?

How does something as obvious as that get through PDI?? Should have gone to specsavers indeed.... The only pdi issue so far with Y100 is the attached, poor stitching. BR have offered to sort it as they are organising some extra seat embroidery for me anyway.

I recently made some comments about cars and the number of defects. Some weeks ago I went to look at a number of vehicles in the showrooms and every one had a defect which in my opinion should have been picked on final inspection let alone on the PDI. In addition AM wrote to me and a number of owners asking for comments on how I viewed the past three years and what defects had I found, needless to say there were very many. I did try and give constructive comments but it does nothing to assure owners that things are getting better, hence my comments of the condition of vehicles in dealers showrooms.
I think the guy with the white glove during the final factory inspection must be Mr. Magoo. It's embarrassing how many things we happen to catch that should've been caught at the factory; yet they never fail to show the guy with the white glove and the paint inspection room full of fluorescent lights in every Aston Martin documentary.

It'll feel so good when it stops. Thanks for the heads up.
