I don't post very often at all but must say I got a knot in my stomach when I saw the old girl up for sale again http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/t... after I pranged her in July and the insurers deemed her uneconomical to repair and took her away from me. I didn't have the time to spend restoring her after her coming together with the central reservation what with a house purchase, new job and a little one and all that ensues, a winter of DIY on the house and a wife who put her foot down to getting the Griff back on the road.

She was my pride and joy for 5 years but alas no more.

I might have more luck persuading her that a Cerb has 4 seats!

This is where I become annoyed ........ CAT D write off.... yet it's for sale just shy of £9k, with fiber glass repair work (as quoted by TVR Dean) approx £600, ,,, ok other bits n pieces n paint... lets say £2.5k..... hardly a write off.

I don't think I have ever seen a 1993 5.0ltr. Still got the old style gauges precat gauges as well.

Yep one of the earliest 500's. I think the fibreglass repair cost quoted is pretty low judging by the whole it put in the back end, boot lid not closing properly, damage to fuel tank, galling I lost £50 worth of Shell Nitro out of it after the spin! The insurers said it would go to an insurance aution down in England somewhere so this guy must be in the know as to where and when they are.

I hope that someone who has the time and a real Griffith enthusiast gets her for the right price and puts her back on the road in good fettle

I think it's the fact that he is willing to pay more the cars than anyone else, does anyone ever buy these?

I tracked a few of his 'acquisitions' on a salvage website selling TVR's and all his bids 'won' after the official end time of the auction.....

Said site now gone into liquidation.....

Does seem strange he gets nearly ALL the TVR salvage stock.....
