New Owner

Hello everyone! I am pleased to be a new owner of a TVR. I have known of TVRs since I was a young lad and now I am here owning one! I have an 87 S1...drove her about 3 hours home yesterday with no issues. Well, the high beams stopped working, but thinking it may just be a fuse or relay. I am thrilled to be a TVR owner now and looking forward to the quality time I will get to spend with her. As I know, there are two issues which are the common ones, but being a prior classic mini owner, nothing can suprise me now!

I live in Suffolk and if anyone is in the area, would love to meet up and chat.

Hi Justin, welcome to TVR ownership and to this forum! There are lots of very helpful people on the forum and that has made all the difference to TVR ownership for me. Your S1 appears to be one of the earliest and might have a few slight differences to many S1's (mine is an 88 car), it will be interesting to see. Shame I'm not closer or I would be round to take a look!

Thanks for the very warm welcome! I need to keep a close eye on the meets...Andy, I would enjoy meeting up and could always fancy a pint . I am thinking of taking me wife out on date and having a friend watch my lil one so she can enjoy the car as well.

On for the searches, I have been around quite a few and do get annoyed when people do not use the search functions...I will always ensure to use it first

It is common for the passenger door to drop. If so, it can mean a bit of fibre glass work but not expensive
