Paint code for Monza red

Hi just about to spray my TVR S3 but not sure on the colour code.

I brought it from a guy who said it was Monza red but have no code.

Is the any diffrent types of red used on s3's and if not does any one know the code for moza red??

I had the same issue. Apparently Monza red is a Ferrari colour.

Or Italian Red code KV52?
Many many reds ( TVR would match any colour the customer wanted ), but no mention of Monza Red in the 3 lists on the Useful Links Wiki at the top of this forum.
Do you have a vin plate on your car? The body code should be on there if the colour is original.

ETA Colourtone can mix you paint to match any sample.

My S3 is also red and somewhere in the documentation it is described as Monza red, just can't find the reference...

Anyway, the body code on the VIN plate is P420-KU52. I think the last part is the colour reference?

Tvr paint codes tend to be under the glued on carpet on the back wall of the boot/ cabin.
If you're lucky it might be on a sticker, more usually just scrawled on the panel in pen.

There are I believe at least 2 Monza Red Colours out there.

Look at the paint lists at the top of the general tvr and gossip forum there is one red monza listed in there.

My S2 is Monza red. The last 4 digits of the body code on the plate on the passenger side under the bonnet give the paint code. In my case -KV52.
Obviously if the car has been previously re-sprayed this may not help.
There is a company called Autopaints, 93 Westbourne St Hove, Tel; 01273 326981 who will match any sample. I had intended to use a tank cutter to cut a disc from behind the front numberplate to send to them (though a kind chap on the wedge forum even offered to lend me his filler cap to send as a sample)but I then decided to risk the cost of a can based solely on the paint code. And it turned out to be a perfect match, so no need for a sample.
Try WWW.autopaintsbrighton.co.uk I found them extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
