Hi All,

I have a few days off work and I would like to try and clear up the mess of cables you see below as best as I can.

Apart from using cable ties to group the cables together is there anything else that can be done to get a neater solution?

Thanks in advance!

Corrugated tubing if you want to have hundreds of tiny cuts on your fingers.

You could try split conduit, it comes in various diameters and you can buy a roll of several meters for a reasonable price. I'm talking about the black corrugated tubing stuff. Avoid mains and signal cables in the same clump obviously. I think this is the neatest solution. I have bought some but haven't ventured into the snake's nest yet smile

Looks like a potential fire about to happen.

First exercise is to admit to us what each plug is connected to.

Do they all have to be in the same location? It looks like there are a lot of unconnected leads. How many power supplies are duplicated?

Yes it's not the best setup I admit but I am looking to sort it out now.

I have the following currently plugged in:

Advent 4 port USB Hub
HTC One charger
Playstation hub controller charger
Raspberry Pi
Macbook Pro
Sony NAS-E35HD Hi-Fi
Xbox 360
Playstation 3
Sonos Play 5
Humax Youview Box
Panasonic LCD TV
Desktop PC

A lot of the devices are to the right of my desk and on the bookcase which is also to the right.

Yes this looks probably the best way to get it looking tidier.

Can anyone recommend some decent conduit? I have purchased some of this stuff before but found its snaps easily.

you do not need to hide the cables. Make them in to art
