Not really sure where to put this but I guess it is health related.

Anyway. I have a triathlon in a few weeks. The lake where the swimming takes place currently has swimming suspended whilst the water quality is tested.

Given the weather is supposed to be hot for the rest of the week what is the likelihood of it clearing up in a week or so?

Slightly concerned about it but I guess the organisers will call it off if there is any chance the water isn't upto scratch.

Is it Rutland Water?

They have lots there - regularly tested, if it's in the water on the course they will cancel

I sail on it, so hopefully do not swim in it regularly smile

They have a specific "Wild Water Swimming" course which is tested, my wife goes to sessions held on this course and they have been cancelled a few times due to Blue Green algae.

I know someone who was running a Charity swim last year that was under threat due to the level of Blue Green Algae

Anglian Water run the place and are pretty bureaucratic about this type of thing

Its Emberton.

There are about 3 lakes and as I understand it has been found in two of them but not the one that is swam in yet. I guess they are connected and its only a matter of time. I think they are testing it this week.

Rumors seem to be that it will get switched to a Duathlon. Too much running for me.
