Oi, I had roof issues - twice.

It has however been an amazing 10 weeks to be in the position to have "roof issues".

You poor sods in your sardine cans!

Yeah, but don't forget there's a guy with a white glove that does your final inspection and put his name on your car. rolleyes

The plate should read "Final inspection by Mr. Magoo" or maybe "Final inspection hampered by Mr. Bean Counter". smile

You left me off the list with my old nail!

1. Power steering noisy when cold
2. Misaligned passenger door window
3. Steering vibration over 80mph

The upside is the car is VERY sparkly biggrin

You can add bananarob - serious paint issue and endless infotainment issues. I would love to say all resolved but its currently back in for the 8 or 9th time for mor issues. What pisses me off more than anything is that aston are tracking every vanquish fault and I haven't heard a dickie bird from them. On a positive HR Owen have been doing their best to resolve. Beginning to irritate now though.

Karlfranz,

They've given the Guy with the white gloves the matching white stick as well now.

The rattle Guys been presented with an ear trumpet and the final inspection Guys been offered a cornea replacement.

Now who said there was no new investment going on.

Supposedly there is to be a meeting to discuss quality control problems on Sept 12 th at Gaydon. I was asked to submit a list. My total came to 13 items all of which would have failed final inspection individually. Most if not all have been resolved by Bamford Rose. Quality Control Final Inspection Plaque! Mine said Vantage SP10 ! It is of course a Vantage S in Stratus White!

Hi Rob,

Sorry to hear that little tail of woe.

I had a Vanquish for 10 days recently whilst my new ride was back in dock yet again,to many things to mention plus I didn't post up as I was just to pissed off.

But back to the Vanq' the Sat Nav was running riot, even the housing with the system in it was going up and down without being touched, it was just going wild.

The touch pads seemed to be hit and miss and often didn't respond and the Radio I gave up with.I mentioned these things to the dealer who knew of the faults
and said there's some concerning issues with the Vanq.

Hope you get it sorted as it shouldn't be like that for fact, simply not good enough I dread to think what has gone wrong with quality and its control of late........

To many blind eyes springs to mind and it would appear from the response you've received to many deaf ears, sad but true.

Are you going on my list or what, its time you came out to play, hopefully they will have fixed yours and mine by next july so no excuses please.

Sounds like they have taken on the British Leyland workforce.

Really not good enough for such an expensive car. I am just glad that my 2005 car has no such issues and if anything does fail, I can accept some failings from an 8 year old car.

In the US, they would all be refunded under the Lemon Law.

10K miles and the following:

1) Front wheel vibe due to rotor imbalance - fixed (by me)
2) Airbag warning light on (probably my fault for removing it and then driving the car w/o it for some time - hasn't gone away after bad refit however)
3) DSC/traction control warning message - cam on once, not to reappear
4) Squealy clutch

That's pretty much it, knock on wood...

Wow! So did they just place the first plaque they grabbed then? rolleyes

BTW what were they 13 items? If these were in any way safety-related they should be fired. I work as a validation test engineering consultant for General Electric, and if I signed off on something negligently and someone got harmed, I could face jail time. Same when I worked on command destruct of space vehicles. There needs to be some personal accountability for these folks.

That was my point really Christian. You would have thought as the plant matured the quality would get better.

I only had one fault with my Rapide in 12 months and that was the crappy gearbox one of the interior roof lights kept falling out. However I can't believe AM Quality processes are as widespread or advanced as a major manufacturer would be.
