Posting on behalf of my next door neighbour who was wondering if he could obtain a hard top for his Chim'.

Erm...

Did TVR ever make a hard top for the Chimaera?

Probably not, I would imagine.

You'll have more luck down in the TVR forum areas, but, the short answer is No
TVR Malasia did fit hardtops to the chimaeras they raced but I would have thought trying to get hold of one of these would be be tricky, to be honest whats the point, the top section is solid anyway, and it'll leak just as much with a hard top as a soft top, just from different places

nope.
just tell him to go buy some thompson's weatherseal from local diy store. couple of coats ( brush on ), make sure you mask the edge of the rear window, the body, and the rubbers on the panel. wipe up any spills quickly.
rain-x for the windscreen and side-windows, cos the wipers are rubbish, but you don't need 'em if you use this stuff.
make sure you clean everything before you start.
will be dry, cosy and able to see where he's going.
