Overshoes - MTB

Can someone speak to me about overshoes please?

I have just progressed onto SPD pedals along with a pair of Mavic Rush shoes. All going fine after a couple of rides (although I did fall over first time out!).

However, with Autumn/Winter approaching which means rain, mud & cold, can someone point me in the right direction of some good overshoes at a reasonable price that will keep things dry and fairly warm?

Mate I pissed around for years with overshoes on an MTB. They wearout, peel back and snag on the undergrowth. Save the money and buy a set of winter boots. They are the best bit of kit you will ever buy.

This. They're not cheap to buy, but my last pair of Shimano Winter boots lasted over 10 years and I've just bought another pair.

Toasty warm and waterproof.

If you fancied a completely different approach, someone once recommended flat pedal and a pair of winter walking boots. It was someone that, no matter they did, just couldn't keep their feet warm in cycling specific shoes.

Since switching to waterprrof, thinsulate walking boots, they'd had no problems.
