Howdy wavey

I recently purchased a second-hand V8V and am very happy with my first Aston. I can hardly believe it actually, I have been in love with this marque for so long and never imagined I would one day have one in my drive!

It's an 06 4.3L in Titanium Silver with the quicksilver sports cats and supersport+ back box - very bloody loud sometimes too loud (never thought I'd say that) but I likes it a lot.

I've been reading a lot about the improvements people have been making to their cars with Bamford Rose upgrades and the like - the potential is unbelievable. I had expected a better low and mid-range - not that I'm complaining but it's good to know there's a fix for that if and when the mood strikes...

Look forward to chatting with you all.

Cheers

Hi Pete and welcome, they really are a fabulous car, although good discussion going on at the moment about the car and company. Don't forget the pictures by the way - of your car I mean! - it's a forum rule!

Hi, lovely looking car. Post up pics of the bike as well, there are a few of us here with both. Good to see another ex RX7 owner. Still miss mine, but the Aston has cost me less!

Haha, I believe that too - loved my RX7 but it only loved me for my wallet... not unlike a previous girlfriend in that way... here's a pic of mine from a few years back...

And this is my 675 having its tyres warmed at Brands Hatch...

Cheers Mikey.

Yeah, it is and especially so when at full throttle... and if the windows are down while going through a tunnel, though you'll be grinnin', ears will be a ringin' tongue out

but the best part, the popping on overrun... so sweet!

A unmolested RX7 is still such a beautiful car. Posting pics of your bike at a track day will cause George to get a har on!

Thanks Paddy. The RX7 started off with a respectable 280hp as standard and stayed that way until I sold it. Then the chap who bought it had the engine rebuilt, converted to a single turbo from twin and cut a massive hole in the front bumper to fit a mahoosive intercooler, turned up the boost and... the result, a claimed 730hp at the rears and sub 8 sec 1/4 mile!! Freakin' nuts!
