Aston DB5 and E type history research

Hope you guys don't mind me trying to harness the power of the Piston Heads collective members . I have two cars I would dearly love to build some history on. A1964 DB5 delivered new in blue with red trim in Edinburgh registered ML127. Anyone know it? And my 62 3.8 E type FHC in light metallic blue registered 3672PE. This was sold new through Henleys in London and lived in Surbiton until 1965 then moving to Stamford area. Like most old cars buffs I love the history and would dearly like to get some period photos. Shot in the dark but you never know. Fingers crossed. Thanks

Ah well - it wasn't obvious from the username, and was possibly long enough ago to have been valid.

If you want to pursue this further then for the E-type I'd need a chassis number. Have you got the heritage certificate from the JDHT for example? I guess you have for the first owner, but if you don't want to publish the chassis number (or the registration number here - -and I'd like both) then pm me with the two.

hi Guys. I have already checked XKEDATA and also spoken with JDC and JEC. What I am trying to find is somebody who knows these cars from in period. I am aware, thanks all the same, of all the obvious sources for information. I do appreciate the offers of help though

I work for Aston Martin Heritage so am well placed to help you on this with any luck.

PM me and we can take it from there, I will need a scan of the V5 to prove ownership and can then email you a copy of the build sheet for your car.

I will need the chassis number though, the reg is no good.
