Discussion
Just been to view an S2 Elise.
51 reg ST. 21k miles, FLSH, 1 previous keeper, £15,200.
The owner was away but the car was at his parents in their garage but without keys so all I was able to do was look - I knew this before leaving.
Checked chassis no first: SCCGA11131HC71423 - no signs or it being re chassied. Inspected for chassis damage as best I could (just on hands and knees) front and rear. All seemed to be ok around suspension mounts. All seemed to be ok at the very front where all the square box sections are.
Tyres were Bridgestone Potenza's RE040's. Fronts were about half worn. The rears are brand new. What are these tyres like?
The brake pads front and rear need replacing. The rear discs also need replacing as there's a prominent lip on them. There is a very small lip on the fronts but these will do another set of pads. Cross drilled discs.
Oil was clean and up to "H" on the dipstick. Coolant up to MAX. No mayo under cap.
On the rear clam there were slight surface scratches where someone has been carting things in and out of the boot. Lightly stonechipped on the front - nothing excessive. Though one rear wheel has been scuffed - not happy about.
The spec was unusual though. He said it was a Sports Tourer - I think it's a Race Tech. Alcantara seats (red and black), chequer plate floor etc...
Needs a service now. Car has just turned 3 years old. Presuming it's had 2 "A" services and is now due a "B"??
I said I wouldn't want to go over £14,500 bearing in mind the above. What do people think?
Frank opinions please!

I know it seems to be a RT but a couple of Seloc have said that they've bought new cars and more or less mixed and matched between RT and ST specs. Can't understand paying all the extra for an ST though to then spec it as an RT!!
I think a B service will cost £250.
Pads and rear discs from Elise Parts £250.
MOT and tax on top. Plus I need to get it inspected really. Any recommendations?
