Want to make my rockhopper 29er quicker for commuting and road. Some gentle off roading but nothing major. Reasonable puncture protection but doesn't have to be a tank.
Current tyres are Specialized Ground Control Sport, 29×2.1
If you like the Specialized tyres you can try the Fast Track or Renegades.
The Renegades won't be much use on anything other than bone dry trails when you're off road. The Fast Tracks are a bit better but I personally don't like them off road and prefer Ground Controls.
I have Fast Trak's on my Epic and they are pretty good on the road, but lack a little grip off. Plus, they are very round so the bike is always a little wobbly (I'm more used to Panaracer and full fat MTB tyres).
