Can anyone tell me what this is and where I get a new one?
Discussion
I am buying some more bits for my Cerbera project and need to replace one of the oil hoses. I don't know what this hose is called/what it does or where I can find a new one. It runs from just above the sump plug and then buggers off around the engine. I need to replace the hose as it has perished and seems to be seeping oil from its entire length.
I have had a look on the various parts sites but can't find anything that describes this pipe:

The sump plug washer was easier to find and should stop the other oil leak I have.
Edited to keep ridds happy...

Take it off.. Take it to hose place.. Done.
Good idea - whilst looking for a hose place I found these nearby:http://www.viperperformance.co.uk/
I wonder if they could knock me up some silicon water hoses from the ones I need replacing too. If I tell them they are off a Ford Focus they might be cheaper than if I tell them they are from a TVR Cerbera...
Will keep you posted.
I had a pair oil Oil Cooler lines made up by my local Pirtek, not cheap and much heavier duty, which means they are more difficult to route. If you get that one made up by them you should be ok because there are no real routing issues. You will need the correct size spanners, including counter hold, and they will be difficult to undo.

When you say including counter hold do you just mean I will need a couple of spanners and to hold the top smaller nut in position whilst trying to undo the much larger bottom one?
When undoing the line at the filter end, I doubt you will be able to do it in situ, either because of access, or because the clamp won't be strong enough. So you'll need a spanner to counterhold at the filter.TimJM said:

Be careful, you might have stripped sump plug there. Mine was the same, looked like it needed a washer, drip of oil, but in fact it was stripped. On the bright side I tapped and fitted a Renault sump plug with magnet. Also didn't fully torque up the sump bolt I put a bit of rtv sealant on the threads to help seal and put less stress on the threads. Worked a treat.Stripped sump drain is a common problem.

I used my local hydraulic guys

To make up some new oil pipes to and from the oil cooler, great job and less than half the price any of the TVR suppliers quoted, 1 of the guys in there has a classic Ford, they were delighted to help out a petrol head.... :-)
