Funding Circle
Discussion
Funding circle has no gurantee like zopa or ratesetter.
Im barely breaking even. Problem is business owners can walk away from debt much easier than personal debt.
Its not worth it IMO.
Look at Corp bond ISA's or Ratesetter or Zopa's guaranteed lending scheme. Both around 4.5%
Of course ISA's are tax free so that may affect your selection.

Hi @86DA - there are plenty of peer to peer lenders out there, and there are several worth considering. ComparetheP2Pprovider.com would indeed be useful - better buy that URL! There's a table at blog.p2pmoneyblog.com which does something similar though. I work with a company called Assetz Capital which allows individuals to lend money directly to small businesses.
There are a few important things that we do differently: the main one is that we take tangible security on every loan - property or machinery for example. This means that, should a default occur, we'll be able to take charge of those assets to make sure that our lenders get their money back with interest - it's unwise to rely completely on director guarantees, as these often turn out to be worth less than the paper they're written on.
That's just the tip of the iceberg though - we have no lender fees, an average return of 10.3% and the most experienced lending team in P2P.
There's loads to look for when choosing a provider but there's a good 'crash course' up at http://www.lovemoney.com/news/credit-cards-current... Won't stick a link in to ours due to forum rules but happy to give you more information if you want.
Hope that info's useful - good luck with your investment!
