Will they ever happen? I can see the appeal, especially regarding the Silverstone situation, but do we really think Bernie would let his little travelling circus go and play with someone else's ball?

Didn't there used to challenge races between the teams? Renault vs Williams, McLaren vs Ferrari etc.

Wouldn't mind seeing those.

Up until the late 1960s, there were almost as many non-championships F1 races held in a season as there were championship races. For instance, in 1963 there were 22 F1 races of which 10 counted for the Formula 1 World Drivers Championship. In those days, Britain often had 4 or 5 F1 races each year. The last non championship F1 race held in Briain (discounting historic F1 races / BOSS etc) was the 1983 International Race of Champions held at Brands Hatch.
