Greetings all!

I came, I lurked, I learned, I bought (many thanks to all you knowledgeable regulars and to Grant for putting together such an invaluable book).

Sold my weekend Porsche last year and had been looking to replace it with my first AM - ended up with a V8V and am loving it! Have had it 3 months and only done 860 miles, but I made them count! The car is a complete package of poise, power, substance and occasion. I'd like more grunt lower down (wouldn't we all?) but there are some decent options to achieve that. I've made a few easy changes - clear rear lights, remote controlled exhaust bypass (SO worthwhile) but now thinking that as I may well keep this thing for a few years, a BR clutch and exhaust would be very nice! It could then only be called The Flying Pyg.

I just need to get my work/life balance sorted (it's just about there) and I'll be able join the odd outing to meet some other well adjusted, perfectly charming and good looking owners. Looking forward to it already!

Very nice indeed! There are plenty of meets, some of them involving cars, some of them involving boar burgers and beer... come along and say hi smile

If you think the remote bypass switch was so worthwhile, you will be truly blown away by the BR clutch and manifolds/cats.
Yesterday I collected ours from having that done..... just unbelievable what a beast the car is now. My misses could not believe the difference either. And ours is only the budget manifold!
Just do it.

Many thanks for the warm welcome. The car is indeed Tungsten.

Krisdelta - boar burgers I like - particularly since we had half a dozen boar rip up our garden 4 weeks ago.

peter96 - glad to hear you're so happy with the results, makes it easier for me! Anyone around my neck of the woods with these mods?

Simon T - I'll be able to use it more soon. I work from home, except when I'm out seeing clients, which are all over the UK and I really can't turn up in an AM. I'm left with the odd weekend at the moment.

Anyway, we're taking it to Leipzig soon for a weeklong break (first since Christmas) so some serious mileage will be clocked up then.

I look forward to meeting at least some of you in due course.

I think clear rears particularly suit the silvers.

+1 Ian. I did the same to my old Tungsten Silver DB9 over 3 years ago.

Aston ownership you will find to be very rewarding emotionally, and you will discover a really great group of people here for advice and friendship. smile
