Sold my 400 today. Nice buyer who might pop on here some time.

Watching it drive away wasn't as bad as when I sold the Stag but not easy either.

Then when I walked back indoors, mrs B surprised me by telling me to make the new car as noisy as the old one!

Enjoy your new car Peter.

That's (sort of) good news. smile
I'm looking forward to getting mine next to a few others to see how noisier ones sound. I think mine is standard, which is still loud enough to turn heads when at certain revs, or when provoked. evil I love the quality of my sound and wouldn't want to lose that just to make it louder.

Nice to meet you yesterday G,

you know when you turn up to look at a car, and the owner and how he looked after his car make you want it as much as the car itself, that was kinda how yesterday went for me.

Id looked at 400's a good couple of years newer, but none in as good a condition or as well looked after, that and how well its been looked after swung it for me, drives better than the 96 i drove with similar miles as well, so that clinched it.

Will hopefully come to some meets if the rest of the family can decide who is coming with me each time, an hour to get home last night, then 2 more hours on test drives for the rest of the household as the neighbours curtains twitched at the noise hahaha

Hi Stuart,it puts a bit of oil down as well and is booked in for a few bob to be spent on it in a couple of weeks. It looks like the bolt on bits are standard above the heads so a few more pennies to go on that as well at some point!

Its only money.....

Thanks and great to have a chat again on Friday. Have a brilliant holiday and see you when you get back. Do you ever get down the New Inn or The George?

Hi Jamie, I have been there with noise thing and loved it. Noisiest car at Snetterton a couple of years ago. I don't see me buying a full ACT noisy system this time but will hold off making any decisions until I finalise what needs to be changed to get the most out of the engine!

What has been done to yours then?

I started by sleeving the silencer, so now its straight through, then the pre-cats were removed and on Monday night I de catted a y piece and fitted it, and it is very loud indeed. probably too loud but I will leave as is until people complain or I attract unwanted attention from East Sussex's finest. smile

Don't really do pubs Graham. Nothing against them but there isn't anything in a pub that pulls me in (unless they do spectacular pub grub, it's a sunny day and there is a garden in which to sit. Went for a drink after work with others last Friday and spent almost £10 on two pints of ale and one of cider (a fruit based drink for the ladies I am told!. So, when the hell did it get so expensive! And how can my children afford to go to nightclubs and bars??!!

Always happy to hoon tho'!
