Crashed wipers

Just wondering if the ball joint on the 3R wiper mechanism popping off is a common problem? Mine did it a few weeks ago which resulted in the wiper blades crashing, fortunately no scrapes of anything on the windscreen, but the joint on the mechanism does seem a bit to easy to pop off the ball joint…..any fixes?

You guessed correctly!!! Mine did this still only have one wiper. Have yet to figure where to get a replacement ball and socket. Some have removed the passenger blade and fitted a larger blade to the drivers side.
