To pull trigger tomorrow on m135i deal.. Any better?
Discussion
Apologies on yet another m135i thread......popping into local dealer tomorrow who has offered to match a £388 deposit and £388 pm x 48 on standard manual 3 door in white.
Ideally I'd love an auto 5 door in white no extras......can I get better or is this as good as I can expect??
Any quick responses appreciated as plan to sort tomorrow, ideally with link or pm as to where can give me the deal tomorrow. Key is the deposit staying low and the monthly figure same as or lower.
Thanks I'd advance....I'm Manchester based if this helps in terms of nearest dealers to sign up at.

Those numbers sound competitive but presumably they imply a relatively low annual mileage (sub-10k)? Also, without wishing to be a wet blanket, is it actually a good deal if it doesn't get you the car you really want? You say you'd like a 5-door and an auto and presumably you want both of those things for a reason; therefore, a manual 3-door arguably doesn't make sense regardless of the figures being quoted! I suspect there will be a dealer somewhere that will do a similar offer on the car you want so that being the case pulling the trigger quickly on one you don't might not be the best idea?Contigo said:
Not brilliant considering for £480 pcm you can get an M5. Granted a much larger deposit but a way better deal.
On the face of it I'd agree £480/month for a new M5 sounds attractive; however, without knowing the deposit and the term/mileage of the agreement it doesn't mean much in isolation! I still think £388 down and then 48 months at £388/month sounds reasonable for a new M135i unless you're then limited to a very low annual mileage with a hefty excess mileage rate if you exceed it. And therein lies the big problem with most of the PCP deals I've heard of. The mileage allowance is usually laughable, the penalties are usually

It's a 4 year contract, too long for most. The M5 deals are 23 month which is far more realistic. 8k miles for the M5 which as said are plenty in a car like the M5.Contigo said:

M5 itch already scratched albeit the e60 version. I'll never forget the fuel bills lol!!
Also wasn't willing to spunk a big deposit and the m135 is good enough for what I want now.

I agree that sometimes PCP monthly repayment figures sound too good to be true and that's often because they are when you look at the other terms and conditions of the agreement! However, I think it's just a case of getting all the facts straight before you sign and going in with your eyes open; PCP doesn't necessarily work for everyone but for some people it does.
