Not all of us are fortunate enough to have large garages. I was getting nervous that i'd dent my car door on my motorbike. Nothing out there on the market at the moment that solves my issuel soI've been making my own protector. This is prototype 3, the next one will have micro fibre pad against the paint. Once I've perfected the design, might make some for interested parties.

Finally the finished article. Microfibre cloth (machine washable) will fit all body types (steel, aluminium, grp, carbon), 23mm of dense protection. What do you reckon, 25 quid each plus packaging? Will work on all your motors in a cknfined space.

You'll look a bit silly driving around with that on your car...

why not drape some old carpet or old duvet over the motorbike. keeps the crap of the bike, protects the car, doesn't cost £25.

Duvet and carpet doesnt stop the dents. Not for everyone i grant you, but has been worth the cost of panel repairs on the nose and door.

Could you not just reverse into the garage and stick some old carpet on the wall like everyone else?

Like i said. Not for everyone. But figured 30k of motor deserves more than a bit of carpet to protect it.

I'd be worried about the suckers sticking to crap on the bodywork and scratching the car when taking them on and off all the time.

I don't get it, are you putting one on the bonnet as well? How does this help when you are getting out the car? Can someone please explain this to me?

Seems ill thought out to me. You are worried about damaging your door on your motorbike when you open it so the pad needs to be on the door before you have driven into your garage... Surely much simpler solution is cover the object that could cause the damage and doesn't move as frequently, i.e. the bike.

I get the carband idea. But i really only need the protection for my car when i'm either putting it back in the garage, or getting it out. My solution protector only takes 5 seconds to fit and remove. Thanks for the feedback though.
