Are these Damsons....
Discussion
My mother-in-law used to make damson and apple crumble but would leave the stones in the damsons. Every f
king time I would bite into multiple stones. Maybe I'm just stupid but I now believe damsons to be the work of the devil and should be killed with fire.
Alternatively, you could remove the stones before making something with the little f
kers. They are quite tasty!
PS. MiL has stopped making crumble.

They look like damsons to me (and we went to our damson "larder" near Cosford this afternoon to check their progress - still not ripe).
Don't worry about freezing them with stones in. We picked about 15lbs of them two years ago, a couple of days before we went on holiday for two weeks and we stuck them in the freezer. They produced some very acceptable damson wine.
