Do they all make chocolate teapots look like the best thing ever, or is it just mine?

Seems that it isn't even applying and as the action of the lever is limp I'm wondering whether the cable might have snapped.

Has this happened to anyone?

As far as I'm aware:

"They all do that Sir"

is the stock answer.
