LOL. A little optimistic. You could have turned in on him easily, I think he kind of owes you one. Did you speak to the guy afterwards ?

He's a really good old boy he must be in his mid seventies and just uses that SLS GT3 for a track day car , I was in the silver Caterham
trying to get the Oil up to temp.

A bit of road rage on a track day, best avoided I think.

The rules are there for a reason - to minimize the risk of accidents, to avoid people having to go home on the bus and explain to the wife why they're facing a several thousand pound repair bill.

If you are in a faster car, wait until you can pass in accordance with the rules.

Nothing against the chap just a good job I saw him coming !! I was in the bright green Noble , Nobles have a closed loop breather system so there should not be any oil spillage but I will mention it to the guys !!
We had one Noble loose its oil pressure and one Ultima bend its pushrods !! Not bad out of 25 cars :-)

Loved the SLS , I went and had a look at it , superb bit of kit !!! I was chuffed I could keep up with him in a straight line .

I don't know a thing about racing, but that's the most hideous set of video effects I've ever seen in my entire life. It's like all those awful forgotten years of Word Art and MySpace condensed into three minutes. You should get a prize for that at least.

I agree completely. What was that all about? (The effects not the driving)

My friend in his black Evo was having a little duel with a red Nobel , The white SLS is running on intake restrictor's GT3 Regs and makes less BHP than our black SLS road car we had there on the day smile

We attend all Goldtrack events and yes the guy's driving the GT2/3 cars and Prototype's do tend to jump in under breaking that's what its like if you want to be on track with that type of machinery.

Mmm drivers briefing was pretty clear , no overtaking unless on a straight and with the consent of the car in front , no passing on the brakes into a bend !!!

Pretty sure he broke all the rules in place on the day , don't brake the rules and you will not get beeped at . Simple .

To be fair to the SLS he did pass you on the straight before the turn in point for the corner. It's not like you had to avoid him and he doesn't dither about gettin past you.

I have only beeped at 1 person on all the track days I have been on and that was to wake them up. They were just driving around slowly right in the middle of the track. Not letting anyone past. Followed them for half a lap and got bored

It was certainly under the brakes and without consent though...

Don't bring your common sense to this thread........ ! smile

You can clearly see the driver is being sensible. If the OP gets upset with things like that he should ask himself why is he on a track day. It is not a race and everyone owes it to each other to have a good day without crashing into each other after all you all pay the same money. You can clearly see the manor of his driving on the rest of the video is fine and he probably thought with your track position you were letting him go. Either way noone was at risk.

Get over it, and stop using the horn on a track day. If you have an issue, go see Melinidi or Callum and show them your video as they tell you to in the briefing. They will deal with it as they see appropriate.

Normal trackday rules dictate that once the car in front has started braking, then it's their corner.
