Back in the fold after a long time! Black 400SE
Discussion
Well it's been a long time coming but I'm back in the "club"
14 years after selling my Griff 500 and now I'm in a wedge! Picked it up today from Tony (ElvisWedgley) what a great guy and he was the main reason I bought the car!
Its got plenty of history and has a great engine - So its going to be with me for a few weeks while the sun is still around but then its going to spend the winter in the garage to transform it back to the car I want it to be - the S/S dash will go and we will be back to the original wood and the cosmetic work inside and out will be done along with a few mechanical tweaks here and there.
It drives beautifully and I hope I've got myself a good car to restore back to its original glory (not that its bad now but it needs that little bit more more TLC)
Thanks again Tony it was a pleasure meeting you and buying the car
I'm sure ill be back on in the months to come with plenty of questions!
Good to be back!

Simon. I hope you enjoy the car as much as I have and I hope that you achieve the level you want to reach with it. It's been a pleasure meeting you. The guys on this forum have always been a great help to me as they have been with the previous Wedges I have owned. I am sure when you need help and advise, everyone here will help to put you back on track. Enjoy that V8 rumble and may all your miles be trouble free. Enjoy.

Hi Simon
Well done but you must have a short term memory loss.........the wedges are ugly, always breaking down, leak oil and other fuilds all over the place, sort of quick, noisy, they gather a crowd and pleasing to behind even when driving another wedge, easy to work on, cheap to run, fantasic fun.........hang on i am off to buy another
welcome back
