Hello PHers!

I am delighted to announce that after a lot of hard work and saving I am now the proud owner of a beautiful 350Z!

I've not had a chance to take some photo's yet unfortunately, just the ones from the dealership.

Took me a while to find one I like too!

Has anybody got any tips for Zed ownership and can anyone suggest any preventative maintenance ideas?

Happy Motoring smile

Lovely mate, looked at 3 of these before settling on the S2000. A pal has just picked up a Black GT, nice cars.

Looks lovely.

Do love these a lot, the grey looks fantastic!

You're in my area, I'll look out for you on my commute, maybe we can do a photo shoot with my RX-8?

I drive past there a lot, always keep an eye on stock as they often have interesting cars.

Anyway, enjoy and get some pics up!

Lovely OP. I do like this colour. I've just joined the Z family with a 370 and am loving it. Having driven a few 350s, you're definitely going to enjoy your time in it.

Drive past this dealership/garage everyday, as has been said often has a few nice cars out front. What where they like to deal with?

I've got a Z, you've made a good choice. What reg is that, as it doesn't appear to have ray alloys, also, is that an aftermarket exhaust?

I'd recommend joining the 350z forum. Extremely knowledge bunch of individuals.

Welcome to the 350 club,

My server at work deletes pics so i cant see what spec you have

I have owned mine for nearly a year and its GT spec so the below is related to that

Loads of info here http://www.350z-uk.com/index.html

Couple of things to keep an eye on

Tyres - can get uneven wear due to the tyre manufacture used , I haven't experienced it that bad on mine

Bose sound system - sometimes the sub drops out frequently - various methods of curing it, i just mounted the amp flat and not on the back of the unit

There is an aux fix for the unit until so you can listen to ipod, iphone

Sometimes there is a clicking from the rear drive shaft, this is to do with the CV joint (I havent done this yet, but is quite expensive if repaired at a dealer (i think i read £700 a side)

There is a creak from the drop links at the rear of the vehicle , if you take the wheel of and grab the link you can here it squeak, solved by replacing

Engine Oil and Oil filter change very easy

Handbrake might as well not be there, not very strong, always put it in a gear

The jap engine seems to be pretty hardy

I think thats all I have experienced

Happy motoring

just seen the pic on your profile,

lovely colour, not GT spec so ignore the bose point above

Also look like aftermarket exhausts

Do you know what type? and is it a full exhaust system

Heyy!

Thanks for all the info in the mainting of the Z. Will definately keep an eye on all the above!

The car is gt spec however the rays wheels were changed to the ones in the pic. Has all leather seats, bose sound system etc.

It does have a milltek exhaust which i think is awsome smile

Cheers!

Nice oen - -get some rays back on it smile

Do you know much about the exhaust system?
Is it full system from the manifolds?
Does it have cats?

I brought mine with no cats and standard system, the sound at 4k revs was brilliant

I had standard cats put on as it kept throwing up Emissions Light and wouldnt pass MOT however the sound was lost

Now thinking about general systems and putting high flow cats on but not 100% sure
