Superlight Supersport rear suspension differences

Title says it all. What is the difference between the 'sport and 'light suspension.

Is there a difference and if so, is it material?

Am I correct in thinking that the Supersport spec doesn't have watts linkage?

(I'm sure one of the many Supersport builders will chime in with an accurate answer soon!)

I imagine the springs might be different too.

My SV Supersport has Watts Linkages...

Judging by Remus35's Facebook-based photographic record of his S3 Supersport build (a couple of months earlier this year than mine) which lacks them, it's a SV cf S3 thing.

Yeah I'm pretty sure all SV's have the watts likage at the rear.

With the Roadsport, if you specify the Superlight suspension, you get the widetrack front, watts linkage rear, rear ARB (or is that separate? It came with mine.) and adjustable height platforms.

As far as I'm aware, the Supersport (S3) suspension is just widetrack front with adjustable heights?

Having just built mine I can confirm that it is the following:

Wide track front
Adjustable platform coil over shocks. These are bilstein dampers/eibach springs and I believe are a special damper/spring combination specifically for the supersport model.
Rear ARB
Rear radius arm (no watts linkage)

I've actually adjusted the front suspension as high as I can get it and the car is still bloody low at the front! Can't see me getting over many speed bumps.

What difference does the watts linkage make?!

None if you have a car which naturally understeers (i.e. VX)In fact it makes things worse.

Seems to work on the K engined cars.

I don't believe that I have watts links on the rear of my 1999 K Series waggon...?
