Thinking of fitting a sports exhaust to my Cerb. Lokking at either ACT, Hayward and Scott (recommended by others, quoted me £500&fitting&VAT) or Blue Flame.

Anyone have one of these fitted?

Cheers.

Ouch! Paid about £300-350 all in from Chris Neils if I remember rightly, and I wasn't shopping around for a good deal at the time (it just happened to have a surprisingly low service bill that needed celebrating)

Gaffer had a Blue Flame exhaust put on her car and has been very pleased with it. They did an excellent job AFAIK and were great guys to deal with.

I believe that Blue Flame may well be the OEM suppliers to TVR, if not them, then one of their sister companies...

Haywood and Scott are in Basildon, Essex. They really are something special. I know a friend of mine had his GT40 exhaust made there and he is really very pleased.

They cost a little more but they are very special.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Have emailed Claire (Gaffer) to ask about her exhaust.

Many people have recommended H&S. The £500 is for a full S/S cat-back system, so not completely outrageous i suppose. They replied to my enquiry to say that they still have the jigs as they used to manufacture Cerb exhausts for Zertec. I'm sure it would be great, but it's a fair size wad for an exhaust when you add it all up!

See my previous thead and also my profile (for cost)

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=23&t=110575

I can’t fault them, they bent over backward to accommodate me and spent ages going through all the options, listening to what I wanted and making
suggestions as to the best design/tailpipe.

I am at work late again this evening but can mail you then if you still have questions.

Best bet is to call them, and ask them when they are putting the picture of my car on the site…!!!!

Hope this helps
