I am guessing they mean the steering rack ends of the track rods (as opposed to the joints at the wheel end?)

That's why I thought it must be the other end because these are common/easy to get.

Only if you know what to buy wink
Average back street garage + TVR = not a clue.

Doesn't look wrong but I think I bought QH ones last time. Any decent motor factors will be able to match up: you should probably be aiming for Ford Cortina MKIV/V but I think they were used on many cars e.g. the P100 was coming up just now.

Easy to replace yourself I mark the tie bars with chalk and wind them on/off the same number of turns, whic avoids setting the tracking again. Keep the lock nut in place (mark one face with chalk too). You have to loosen the clamp on the bellows too. And borrow a ball joint splitter rather than whacking with a hammer.

There are people flogging them on Ebay, you just need to know the diameters of the large and small openings.

This is all easy and cheap fix stuff.

Thank TVR for using bread and butter Ford parts (that their critics love to make fun of rolleyes ).

Imagine what those bits would cost on a Fezzer, Porsche or any other non-TVR with 'supercar' performance. smile

Its probably easier to replace the lower ball joints complete!

They are MK5 cortina and for £20 you can get a pair.

If its the top ball joint rubbers that are gone and they are original (the whole ball joint riveted in and not bolted) then dust covers are the way (if they are still in good working order other than the dust cover) as you will need to drill the rivets out to replace them.

Thanks for the info, i think i've got it all on order now, but its made me think,
If I'm replacing all these parts, should i replace the rollbar droplink/rubbers at the same time? is it worth it?
