Outdoor Cover for Spyder

With autumn & winter approaching, I feel the need to cover my Spyder. Not only to protect it from the weather, but also from kids scraping snow off it and the like (I'm sure this is how I got a scratch). Wish I had a garage, but I don't.
Any recommendations? I hear the OPC will do one for around £250, but also that cheaper ones are just as good (Tybond?).
I know you should only put them on clean cars, but are there any paint damage issues when under a cover for a long time?

I don't see the point, I think you will generate as much damage as you save. And it's a pain in the arse.
Just wax the hell out of it and get some stuff on the roof too.
It's a modern car it will be fine. If it was a 2.2S 911 or something that might be different. Mind you, then I would be renting a garage!

I'll look after it for you Hamer! I've got a carport I'll keep it in, I'll even keep it ticking over for you if you like?
In all honesty, I'm with everyone else - claybar it and then liberally wax it to protect the paintwork, then just a showcap for the hood when it rains. In my experience, unless it is a 'carcoon' type arrangement, keeping any car undercover outdoors does more harm than good...

I've got a Noah cover from http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/covercraft/noah... to keep the weather off while we await planning permission approval for our garage. Plan was to buy the car after the garage was completed but I couldn't wait!
The cover is fully fitted and as long as the car is fairly clean when you put the cover on I can't see it causing any damage to the paintwork.
I've also cleaned and sealed the roof material and the paintwork has had a good quality sealant as well.
Saying that the car is going into storage come Nov/Dec anyway.
