Hi,

I would choose my new (used) car today, but I would need it on the road tomorrow or Friday.
Could I get an insurance in less than 24 hours?

My best quote comes from InsureTheBox and I don't know how long does the credit check take.

Could be a temporary insurance the solution?

Insurance in my experience is instead. I.e. viewed a car, bought it, called the insurance whilst in their drive, all sorted and off to go. Better still ask for the documents via email and view them on your phone

Bought a car recently, other half was signing the paperwork, while I changed the insurance. I then logged into my insurance companys web site, downloaded the insurance cert, forwarded it to the trader who printed it off, so I could drive straight to the post office to buy tax.

Easy peasy.

Dealers offer 7 days free insurance on new cars, not sure about used.

As quick as you can fill the online form in or can do over the phone.

Some companies offer a 7 day drive away insurance from dealers in the hope you will continue insuring with them, when I last had one they wanted 3 times as much as the cheapest quote so beware

yep used as well, bought a car today from dealer and had the 7 day insurance. depends on dealer as when bought from another dealer last year it didnt come with it
