Going for broke. A 10 maybe?
Discussion
Its the last race meeting for the NSCC at York on 22nd. Points wise it looks likely i will come third this year. I am happy with that result considering struggling for funds to attend all the shows, cruises and meets. I have attended all the race meetings and enjoyed a great season with a fantastic bunch of guys.
Heres my efforts this year so far

The leader board can be seen here http://www.nscc.info/index.php?page=browse&act...
The guys will be at the hot rod drags this weekend and taking the lead out of reach as i am at a music festival instead. Big respect goes to John Peace. A top bloke who is dedicated to the NSCC, making a mammoth effort to attend so many events and looks to deservedly retain his title and race number HRG1.
So i am looking forward to York. The car is ready. I just need to get 2 nitrous bottles refilled on the way to York on 21st. A diversion to visit Andy Fadster in Glossop should sort that.
Mid season i ran 11.09 @ 128 and at the last meeting while trying to preserve the car and running into a hefty headwind i managed a couple of 11.1's @ 126.
So weather and track permitting i aim to try and finally run that elusive 10.
Wish me luck guys and lets hope i drive the car home at the end of the day

Thanks for the support guys.
Neal, i would like to think i had enough grunt with 330bhp NA + 100 shot stage 1 and 70 shot stage 2 to give me a total of 500bhp to run that 10.
Now you mention it though.... i do have another pair of solenoids, a Y-piece for 1 of the nitrous lines, an elbow with 2 crossfire injectors and all the other bits i would need.
May have to rig up an 'emergency' 3rd stage. Another big red button on the steering wheel so only operable when in 3rd and 4th with both hands on the wheel
Can i squeeze it all in?
Yeah i think so

My friend managed to blag some tickets for Santa Pod last Sunday, so we detoured there on the way to Cadwell Park, it was our first visit to a drag strip and we were totally impressed, obviously the top fuel stuff was mind blowing but I really enjoyed the super streets running 10's and 11's they seemed more believable.
All the same I now have much respect for you guys, so good luck and I hope you get your time.
Oh and don't even talk to me about the bikes

Hoping to come and see the racing fist hand it must be 15 years since I have been at York
You wont regret it. There are a lot of truly awesome cars there this year.Dont be disheartened by the in road. Just take your time and avoid the potholes

They were a bit of a pain on a low stretched bike with about 2" of clerence
Hope to see you there
Yellow 500
Good luck
Peter
