Best weatherproof car cover?

Hi there,

I'm looking for an outdoor cover for my MG B roadster. The club has one, but there are several out there which are cheaper. I'm going to avoid the £30 jobs on Amazon, but can anyone recommend me a cover that works...and isn't too expensive?

Don't laugh, but amazingly Halfords are doing one at the moment which is surprisingly good - its their 'advanced all seasons' cover and they are both waterproof, breathable and a fraction of the price of the more expensive breathable covers. They also have £20 off at the moment. When I was in the market for an outside cover a couple of months ago I did a bit of research and ended up buying one and have been quite impressed with it so far - frankly I don't know how they do it for the money!

Thanks Larry - yep, don't see any reason why this wouldn't be as good as the one I had for my old Triumph Spitfire. Will measure the car when I pick it up this weekend, a small one might even fit which will save me an additional fiver!

That's the one - I normally avoid Halfords too and was sceptical at first but figured at the price I could afford to just use it for a few weeks while I looked for another one before throwing it away if it was rubbish (when I needed one I needed it quickly as my old cover succumbed to a mighty gust of wind). I wasn't expecting much for the price, but reckoned it was better than a plastic sheet - turns out it is well elasticated, fits snugly and is tailored to a cars shape, has elasticated straps to secure underneath and actually works! Even in the torrential rain of the last few days my car has stayed essentially dry underneath and when its 'damp' and the sun comes out the moisture just seems to evaporate - I don't plan to replace or upgrade it now and am really quite pleased I stumbled upon it, to the point where I am considering buying another. I know someone else who has had one on a car for over a year and they too have been pleasantly surprised - it hasn't rotted away or lost any appreciable performance after a year either.
