Is it just me or does everyone get one of these emails when selling a car on PH?
Is it the new, ' I will collect your car and deliver it to a port, pay double, I am an African Prince...' Type bullst sent from a fktard potential scammer? Or am I just behind the times with the new lingo??

It's normally 'best price' and the best response I've seen is to send back the asking price. "That's the best price for me!".

I just asked them to call me to discuss, but I don't expect that to happen.

If you don't want this, sell at auction, sell direct to the trade, p/x it. You have plenty of choices.

Those types of contact are common.
Just ignore them.
Or, if your bored tease them with best prices much higher than the original price or by replying with a long elegant piece of prose as counterpoint to their brash txtspk.

Don't they normally say they will pay the asking price albeit don't know what it is; remember they send out 1000's of similar emails daily. Go on, ask them what the asking price is

Surely your "last" price is the price you bought it for not the price you're selling for.

You "best" price is clearly significantly more than the asking price.

A cheque will be fine but it will have to be for the full amount - I did have someone else who wanted to pay a bit less but when they saw the hoofs of the horse they weren't sure they wanted her. I am just being honest. I think they were a bit picky as Ive now cleaned them and they are fine.

What arrangements will you be making for transportation? Also, how do I know you are serious as I have has a few people wanting to look at the CAR but I have told them it is sold to you.

You also say that the shipper needs a map. What sort of map would he like? I remember in The Goonies they had a map, but it was a treasure map. Would a treasure map be ok for the Shipper?

IME I find these are always sent by foreigners.

If you tell them to call you, they don't.

They may be genuine but they think that they'll get a £10k car for £5k - I guess sooner or later they must do otherwise why would they all keep doing it ?

I did have one call me once - that was his opening sentence.
