So as some of you will know, i was buying an MGB. I even put a deposit down and posted photos of it up on here. I bottled it due to the dealer who was selling it to me is a very "interesting person" from where i live and is doing interesting things to do with his business and i ended up with more money than i thought i would...

..Fast forward to now, i have a Honda Civic 1.8 i-vtec sat outside my office and im quite pleased! Ok it is not the last word in character or handling finesse but i like it. Its the ES spec so its got all the toys i'd wish for: Panoramic roof, climate control, cruise control etc.. And its bloody comfy! The 140hp engine makes it fly along well enough and feels miles quicker than my MX5 i got rid off and is returning an average of 39.5mpg (i havent been driving economically) The dashboard hasn't got boring over the past week either!

Here's some pics..

I'm sure ill get a PH bking for buying a boring hatchback but nevermind, ill scratch the classic car itch next year instead.

Glad you got a new car, even if it's a tad boring. Looks like you need a new camera too though???

BTW, I hope this dealer won't be out for libel re: your published claims. Or if true, isn't it a bit dim to insult a "gangster" publically?

You had an old MX5 and sold it to buy an MGB GT, obviously you love older cars. Then you inherited some money & bought a nasty modern grey blend-in-with-the-rest snoozemobile!! confused

FAIL!!

You should have spent the inheritence on something like a Triumph Stag instead of that thing, here have one of these....redcard;)

Make sure you redeem yourself soon then! biggrin

Tip :

Comfortable - Triumph Stag with hardtop for winter use
Reliable - Buy one with a Rover V8 or Triumph 2500 six cylinder fitted
Safe - Drive carefully wink

No no no. If your deal to buy an elderly MG falls through, the correct procedure is to go on eBay and impulsively buy a different one without even looking at it.

That really is one end if the spectrum to the other. Buying a cooking Civic after intending on a classic. Could have least have gone for an MGRV8, TVR, Boxster etc if the budget had just increased a bit.
