Will be watching this thread closely, as we leave next Thursday for Singapore.

Other than the F1 and the support acts, we are going to try the Flyer and go to Marina Bay roof top on Monday.

(as a slight thread hijack, I have 250 Euro's which is burning a hole in my pocket. Am I best off changing it here in the UK into Sing Dollars, or doing it when we get there?)

Second that, it's on top of my office building and is a cracker.

What sort of things are you into OP?
I spent a few weeks as a tourist in Singers last year and never ran out of things to do, it's a great place, if a little humid at times.

Oh.... and if our own XJSJohn happens to try and convince you that jugs of spirits with a mixer in Hooters is a good idea then run away!

Change it when you're there, most of the shopping complexes have a money changer in a little booth, and they offer the best rates.

- Try the steakhouse in the Stamford Hotel complex (Wooloomooloo)
- Altitude bar is good
- Longs bar at Raffles just so you can say you have been there
- Make sure you use happy hour 4-7pm as drinks are very expensive in Singapore
- Long Beach Seafood is very good (Try the Chilli Crab)

Other time I went I stayed in Mandarine Oriental, I'm sure the steak house there is supposed to be one of the best, if on the very expensive side. Serving that special Japanese beef etc

Maybe see some of you there on the Grand Prix weekend.

Will be getting advice on places to head from a Singaporian friend this weekend.

The Long Bar at Raffles. Down by Clarke Quay you have Brewverks. For an 'alternative' night out then 'four floors' if you are without the wife. If you have time during the day then there is a hop on/off bus which takes you around 'town'. If you take that then little india is worth a walk.
