What colour on a van?
Discussion
Not very PH, this van lark, but needs must...
So, I have the choice of 3 - metallic dark (really dark) grey, metallic black (Panther, no less) or white (flat).
Now, I'm not one for white vans, so that's really discounted.
Leaves the other two.
Black on a van?
Asking for trouble re scratches?

I chose white, as it was the easiest to signwrite !

Some of those metallic colours will be a git to keep looking smart with high mileage stone chips, and metallic black ........jesus.......it'll look smart in the showroom, but will show every swirl, scratch, blemish.
Flat white is just so easy to look after ...... unless you go for merc, in which case just choose rust colour !

After 9000M it still looks spotless (when clean) with no swirls at all.
Its all down to how its looked after.
My first black van looked as new as the day i collected it, when i traded it on after 4 years, just by keeping it clean and using decent washing equipment.
Even the VW dealer commented on its condition, to the point i got more in p/ex than i as expecting.

However, yes, white is the colour for hassle free ownership.

I also swore (at them, many times) that I wouldn't again have a black vehicle of any kind.
However, the black does look nice and I tend to keep all my vehicles clean.
My current L200 (which is being traded in for the van) is grey.
I dunno, isn't grey a bit 'John Major'?
The grey in question is Fords 'Midnight Sky' - when I saw it in the metal I was hard pushed to tell it was metallic (although it was raining).
Do Ford still use white undercoat?
(that black Caddy above looks good, but the bling wheels might make it more so)
