I'll be there too - black and red Caterham.
My first time at Pembrey - and first time on track without the extra ballast of a passenger. Should be interesting!
I'm there with my Megane, so maybe we can compare notes. I have done loads of bike days at Pembrey, so it will be interesting to see how different it is in a car. One thing's for sure, you need some serious brakes at the hairpin!!My first time at Pembrey - and first time on track without the extra ballast of a passenger. Should be interesting!

Is there a petrol station on site/near?
Only have a 15 litre sprint tank on the westy
I was warned that the parking is in-field so if you need to get petrol, you need to wait for the session to finish to get in and out!Only have a 15 litre sprint tank on the westy

I'll hopefully squeeze £25 into the Caterham and I'll be taking two 5L cans. Hopefully that should get me through the day.

If it pours you might find me there in a Megane too! Looking forward to it though. I've been to Pembrey itself plenty of times, but never to the track. My dad grew up not so far away so he can't wait to try it out too.Edited by framerateuk on Tuesday 17th September 09:25

Nearest petrol station is about 3 miles away.Only have a 15 litre sprint tank on the westy

As already mentioned, the paddock is in the centre of the circuit and with no bridge or tunnel you have to cross the circuit to get in and out.
Ah - the joy of panic. Not only am I sitting in the garage having my rear calipers rebuilt after they decided to stick, but I've just realised my licence isn't in my wallet. Guess who'll be turning the house upside down this evening?
According to the blurb MSE emailed out, there may be a wait of "up to 40 mins" so I guess they session Pembrey to allow crossing the track fairly regularly.

MSE allow cameras as long as they are clamped and not fixed used suction. I have done many a trackday with MSE and they are a good outfit. My only complaint is the length of the briefing. 45 mins is just too long...
Two cans of 5L - I think you will be needing significantly more than that in my experience.
I have never driven Pembrey so i'm like a kid at Christmas right now.

Mike - you are always like a kid at Christmas!!
As for MSE and suction mounts, I have used a suction mount at every MSE day I have been on without any problem. The only times I have had problems has been on a Focussed Events day and at Oulton Park where Mr Palmer doesn't like them.
Framerateuk, take the Cat and if it is lashing down, we can swap cars and you can see how my Megane compares with yours!

This is direct from the details I got from MSE via email once I'd booked.
"Please note that the circuit do not allow cars to carry an on board cameras, they are strictly
forbidden. Pembrey Circuit has a new rule that all guests wishing access to the circuit as either a
driver or passenger must be 21 years or older. If you have younger guests please contact us."
I did have a look on the Pembrey website to see if they made mention of it, but couldn't find anything.
Licence found. Phew. I shall go to the ball after all!
