996 GT3 Fuel Pump Hose Failure part no. 996 620 057 92

I couldn't find a PH thread on this so thought I would bring this to attention:
My GT3 broke down in Jersey with running problems. Bank Holiday Monday and with hours to go before our ferry local GT3 specialist Steve McCann of Oakhurst Garage came straight to my hotel to help, top bloke and something of a GT3 specialist (a nice 4.0 RS on the ramp helped to put my faith in him). Unfortunately no immediate fix so I left the car with Steve and went home by boat and train. It's now fixed but only after a few hours investigation. We were both surprised to find a split fuel line inside the petrol tank on the fuel pump, so a bit of a bd to find. I have since found this thread on Rennlist describing the failure. My car has done about 23k so presumably some others have already had the same problem but if not you might just save several labour hours fruitlessly checking everything else before opening up the tank.
I imagine a lot of these were sold. Maybe the 997s were different.

Yeah fairly common. Can be a real hair puller outer if you don't know about it and are left trying to solve based on the symptoms.
Knowing about it certainly short cuts a whole host of checks.
