Colin McRae Anniversary

Hi, newbie here! But I wanted to highlight that on 15 September it will be the anniversary of Colin McRae's death in 2007. What a man, what a rally driver. I was very lucky back in 1991, since I did an entire national rally as his co-driver. We crashed, we blew a turbo in the Rothmans Subaru Legacy, and I found myself trying not to make odd noises as we slid past trees at 120mph. Absolutely, was a huge hero of mine. Met him once on the Kayel Graphics rally in the Hilton Hotel in Swansea. One of the best rally drivers ever in my opinion, certainly top 5 ever. I followed his career with interest right from the early days.

Sadly missed, and a real shame with him and Richard Burns both sadly not wish us now, we don't have the top rally drivers to keep Britain on the world rally stage.

Tnx Graham it made good reading . Colin was certainly gifted(understatement)with an ability to wring the neck out of whatever he was driving/riding . Always top entertainment and sadly missed.
Will be raising a glass on Sunday.

McRea & Burns - both brilliant drivers and thanks to them we had two great limited editions of the Impreza.

When did rallying go wrong...probably 2007?

Fantastic compilation on that video. Reminds me why I keep looking after the 20 year old Impreza in my garage pre-face lifts are far from the most loved, but are very quickly becoming rare beasts.
