Just had a look as the new DMS website and they have put the figures on for the F10;

M5 V8 TT bhp from 560 to 630+ & Torque from 502 to 598

Impressive numbers, anybody had it done?

A friend of a friend has had his brand new M6 done by DMS to 685bhp...... Incredible figures, not sure if that's just a remap though.....?

Christ , when I had an F10 on demo last winter the last thing I thought it needed was move shove. Must be tempting though ,especially coming from DMS. Is BMW not clued up now on finding remaps these days?

Had DMS remap my E60 M5 & B7 RS4 & rate them highly.

Not sure I'd be tempted with a remap for the F10 as I'm leasing but more importantly do BMW not spot the remap immediately? I know on my E60, every time BMW flashed an update or recall onto the car, i needed to get the DMS map reapplied which seemed a chore.

Would love to know how this works with the F10 as if the hassle is eliminated & cost dependant i may have a do next year as will be keeping the F10 for 3yrs.

Rumour has it that the F10 M5 puts out close to 600BHP in reality anyway and that 552BHP is quite a conservative figure by BMW.

Can't believe I am going to say this, but is there any point. My car does nothing but light up the rears at every opportunity it gets. Remapping would make it even worse. Not a statement I ever say as I have got max power out of every car I have owned but this thing is different. Unless you can find more grip ( tyres are rubbish if temp is below 18degC) it's going tombs very hard to extract the extra power.

Remap would need to be standard power until 3rd gear then up the power?

Just wait till your car gets to around 2800miles something changes. My car was fast but now it is crazy fast. Deffo on par with my remapped RS6.

Agree no way it has only 552bhp

I'd tend to agree as i've too fettled most cars (even my E60 M5), but there gets a point where you must have enough power & trying to get 600+bhp through 2 points of contact is gonna be tough. The C6 & now C7 RS6 would be better candidates for this type of tuning as you've an extra 2 touch points & i believe maps are far less detectable on Audi's.

Was 7yrs ago now so memory not what it was & could well have gone up in price by now.

IIRC i paid £1000 for a rolling road remap & they extracted about 30bhp & 15lbsft from the car, as well as totally removing the speed limiter.

Give Rob Young a call & mention Paul Clarkson (assuming he remembers me). I set up a couple of group buys for both the M5 & the RS4 that followed.

The customer cars are 550 BHP and the press cars were 600.

The remap used is just the press/ development map giving 600BHP possibly up to 620 on a good day.The computer in the car will only accept these two maps.

Thanks for that, DMS, Evolve and CAti all seem to have good reviews.
Probably will go for Remap, Evosport pulley and the air scoop kit with the oem box....for now
