F40 because it looks better and I suspect would be a lot more fun. I also like the fact it seemed to be built for driver enjoyment, rather than as a technical showcase. I know it's not on your list, but it'd still be my pick. smile

Well naturally I agree hehe.

I'm interested in what we PH'ers think about the New Wave of Hypers. Suppose to some extent the Laugherrari is not in the fight as all are sold anyway. Maybe the real fight is between P1 and 918? Both available to buy and both sporting similiar tech. Non?

Don't like any. Would choose the Porsche if I had to though, IMO it looks the nicest.

I'd sooner buy a Noble M12 GTO, Dodge Viper and E55AMG and use the remaining money to run them for the rest of my life.

I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Ferrari enthusiast, but given a big enough pile of cash a 918 in Gulf colours would be pretty irresistible.

If we're going to stick to the question, the P1 due to looks and Britishness alone.

If we're going to go completely off piste like some of those above then I would buy a sandwich and a drink and then maybe another house then think about maybe a Caterham.

I also love the way it looks and the way it sounds yes

I'd have the P1 for its looks and obvious engineering detail. The engine bay is a work of art!

All of them have performance well beyond what I could tame, so their lap times make no difference to me.

Based on looks alone I'd buy the Porsche. I saw it at Geneva a couple of years ago and the other cars are going to have to look a lot better in real life than they do in the pictures to change my mind.

I'm normally a Ferrari fan but I'd be put off by, not by what appear to be slightly ungainly looks, but by the inevitable queue of retards waiting to say "Ha ha, I see you've bought the The Ferrari..."

None of them particularly appeal but if someone was going to force me to own one without driving them first to decide, it'd be he Porsche because to my eyes it's the best looking.

I'm not a fan of the looks of the P1. The 918 looks like it'd be my favorite but I'd be interested to see how LaFerrari does.

The pictures don't do either the P1 of LaF justice. The former is far more elegant and delicate, the latter is a bit gopping to my eyes.

Yes I thought of that but does Jay Leno (nice bloke!) driving the P1 count as valid? This is a question about which would YOU buy at this stage? It's a question about how YOU feel in your gut about levels of desireability, tech, real (or perceived) performance, asthetics, VFM, resale value etc.
