So...I have been looking around and emailed a few places and still cannot find...the seal between the hood and side window...where can I get a new one (well for both sides) at? I have been told they are not made anymore, but I am sure there is an alternative out there that works just as good, if not better, than OEM. Cheers!

You'll be lucky to find any of that !I believe the seal from a Griffith can be used but also needs the metal (alluminiun?) retaining strip.
Play around with the "search" you should find some informative old posts.

After TVR-Car parts folded, I found the trim in the Europa catalogue (www.europaspares.com). Admittedly that was back in 2009 but they give the profile and were happy to send a 10cm sample free of charge for me to check - they got the deal!

Admittedly that was back in 2009 but they give the profile and were happy to send a 10cm sample free of charge for me to check - they got the deal!

Do you have a link to that (if we are talking about the piece that runs down the outside edge of each rood panel at the top of the passenger window). Both of mine are split about an inch back from the front which I assume is the cause of the water under the pax seat after the downpour yesterday

Can't see anything even vaguely like them in the Europa catalogue. TVR Car Parts were around till 2012 weren't they

Were they able to retain/purchase any of the spares stock? I believe David Gerald obtained most of it. They don't have any of the seal strip in question, and tell me that with limited demand it would not be financially viable to have some made.On two occasions my solution has been to go to the Classic Car Show at the NEC in November where all the top suppliers will have stands. So far someone has found a match for everything I have needed, on several different makes and ages of cars. They regularly get people turning up with obcure and battered bits of rubber to match! Mybe I will see you there!!!

Hi NCoT & Justin,The seal is supposed to have a slit where the dummy quarterlight frame compresses the front bit, according to Chris of D&C Trim.
He also supplied me with enough new seal for my panels, after talking to them*
at the Neil Garner Open Day last Easter.
I had previously tried many suppliers, also all the NEC trade stands to no avail.
Worth giving them a call.
- NB. I talked to D&C Trim, they didn't talk to the panels.
I think it was Ray-TVR who coined the perfect technical description of the seal section.....
"A fat girl with pigtails riding a bicycle" !

Sorry all, behind the curve. Europa parts have the seals on page 121 of their catalogue at the link above. I think that I requested samples of SDS, SDMS and SARS types and offered each up. I'll see if I still have a small section remaining this weekend and photo alongside the original trim which I still have in the garage loft. There must be loads of different solutions and the marine industry is another good source it the automotive one draws a blank - will go hunting.
