1 they have a place for your slippers and pipe built into the dashboard
2 the electric slipper warmer is a bit iffy
3 AM forums as above.

Seriously, there's a link above to an everything you need to know about Astons book, a good investment if you are considering buying into see excellent cars.

What's good - the car and whole experience
What's bad - always having to smile when people want to talk to you about them in car parks and garages and you are in a rush
Avoid? Pot holes I think!

Test, buy, enjoy and get some pictures up when yu have one. All the best.

If you can try the DB9.2 flavour. Some more horses and style tweaks which make it even more magnetic.

I've had so many offers I've lost count (and I'm an ugly barsteward too)

Oh and it is a wolf in baby wolfs clothing

About ten years ago when the most beautiful car you ever saw went past and you thought "I'd kill for one of those" but never thought you'd have one.

One day you open the garage and its sat there just for you.
That.

Errr is there a story here you should be sharing? Just as far as the AM forum of course, it would still be a secret whistle

A1. It is probably the most beautiful car in the world. The smile you just can't help every time you settle into the driver's seat. The noise as you fire up the V12 engine. The whole driving experience. The fact that most people really like the car and don't treat you as a flash bcensoredd for owning one.
A2. I'm told there is a "bubbling paint" issue you need to look out for on many used Astons, so inspect carefully, and check out various threads on here for details. Don't think buying a new one is the answer - check out various threads on here for details (eg "I'm so glad I could only afford a second hand Aston").
A3. Things I wished I had avoided: The high kerb in a multi-story car park in Tunbridge Wells. A cubic metre or so block of granite by the side of the road near Berne.

Buy one, you won't regret it. biglaugh

Had one up until a few years ago, had it for over 4 years and it was the longest I have ever kept a car for.

Absolutely loved it, but ultimately got bored with it (fool that I am)

Sold it and bought an R8, sold that and bought a supercharged range rover, sold that and bought an early 997 turbo, sold that and bought a 997.2 turbo

And still wish I had kept the Aston.

Special, special cars.

Get one!

ETA - I don't think there is a better car for being allowed out of side turnings, everyone just smiles and waves you out!

if you get a chance get a second generation or beyond one (2009MY) - they've got 20 more bhp, the ECU key and a remodelled dash

mine makes me smile when i see it on the drive, even after 3 years. Beautiful car. And as a previous poster has said, its amazing the different reaction you get from other drivers (compared to my old M3)

First thing to do when you buy it, pull fuse 22 out in the boot to open up the exhaust. Then find a nice long tunnel and put the windows downsmile

Downsides? The sat-nav isn't good. But then who cares? The ride is a little on the harsh side if you hit pot holes. And if you really take it by the scruff of the neck you can get the MPG down towards 11-12 (but more like 21-22 on the motorway). Oh and buy a cheap (£20-£30) CTEK trickle charger that plugs into the boot of the car and leave it on whenever you're not using the car for more than a week

The only car I have ever owned where you can sit in the garage and just gaze at it as you would a fine painting. The above posts speak volumes from the driving and ownership perspective. Go out and buy one immediately!

Buy a Volante ,it's the big boy's car of choice.
Birds launch themselves from the pavement into the passenger seat.
Only real downside is having to read Mr Gould's comments on this forum who lives off his wife's inheritance and prefers ladyboys.
George slagging you off if you so much as change the colour of the dipstick.
Tony Hall threatening to knee cap people he doesn't like.
Jockers trying to ingratiate himself into the Aston community even though he sold his in 1948.
Ed50 getting upset at the drivel I write.

He's right you know. Although the second point can get tiresome.

That video you sent to me a while back was certainly a Gaylord soft top with you in it, trying to hit 70 mph IIRC yes
