Noisy adverts back again

Just wondered, has the PH view on noisy adverts changed from this: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=104... ?

They seem to be back with increasing regularity. Clicking the loudspeaker swaps the advert for a box that says

"Ad muted. Undo
We'll do our best to show you more relevant ads in the future.
Help us show you better ads by updating your ads settings.
Google"

Are we stuck with them?

It's not changed at all, but sometimes they sneak through.

What is helpful if you can tell us what the ad is. Even better, give us a screen shot.

Use Adblock - http://adblockplus.org and you'll get PistonHeads (and the rest of the internet) without ads. Quite a different experience.

Did it say in white lettering sponsored by Ford at the bottom of the advert? If so I got that advert as well. It was the ad space that takes up the fifth post.

Honestly can't remember what it was for... just wanted it to be quiet.

And it's always late on a Friday, and no-one can ever do anything about it util Monday....

There's also an advert that currently keeps crashing the web browser on my Android phone, it's been doing it for the last few days. I think it's one of the banners at the top of the page.

Yep, I was online for 10+ years without one, its only in the last couple others since PH lost the ability to control its ads that I got one...
