Petrol station at the top of four Elms hill outside Hoo

Red Mazda MX5... loads of revs and wheel spins from the pump to the exit, makes sure its clear and then wheel spins out and away down the road.

The only others around are me in an old Land Rover and a respectable looking chap in a Mazda2.

Not a rant, I just want to know... what's the point? Is anyone actually impressed by it? Wheel-spinning/lighting up the tyres, am I missing something or is it just a moron wasting a few hundred miles worth of rubber?

May have had a bad day, lost his rag and now finds it difficult to control himself when driving, I know I do sometimes when I get pushed to the very edge.

Either that or he thought you were gay and was hoping you'd chase him wink

Maybe he's not trying to impress anyone. Yes, it's a bit juvenile, but he's probably just having fun.

Depends which petrol station on which side of the road you mean - if he was heading away from the Hoo peninsula, I fully understand his actions and his haste.

I'm happy confused His car, his tyres, his money... not complaining

Just can't work out the reasoning behind it?

I can understand the bad day = lack of concentration angle (hell even I've done that smile )

I was doing this in my MX5 at every quiet junction on my way home today. I bought it last week and had forgotten how much fun RWD was.
It also has ditchfinders on which I'm replacing this weekend. Try as I might, I cannot wear them out biglaugh
