upgradiing Porsche Sat Nav

I have the PCM system in the gen 1 997.

Do I need to go to an OPC to have it upgraded so I can use the post code search functionality or is there an easier way to do it?

What age is your car and what map DVD do you have?
If DVD is 10/2004 then you will need softwar upgrade for PCM and DVD reader.
If DVD is 07/2005 or later you already have post code facility. Just start entering a post code into address line and PCM will recognise what you want. This is limited to first 4/5 characters however.
Update software is available outside of OPC (Post your question on PCGB forum and all will become clear).
