Random email notifications

I've noticed that when I subscribe to a thread on the forum I often receive email notifications even when there are no new replies.

Its not a one off thing either, I've got 4/5 emails this morning relating to a thread that hasnt changed.

Possibly someone's posted and deleted a reply? If you post a link I can have a look.

Sure there was a similar topic before, where "my stuff" showed topics were updated when they really weren't. It was very frequent, so I doubt it was people posting and deleting.

That looks like a different issue, due to cookies, which seems to be resolved.

Nope. My guess was wrong, nothing's been deleted...

Is there something up with your mail server? All the emails have strange timestamps on (from yesterday)

Mail server time is correct. Must have gotten held up somewhere...
