We have just returned home after a fantastic day out at Bruntingthorpe with the one and only Michael Caine,I always said that i would never take the T350c on the track.
Well today was a very special for my Wife Diane, coz now She is Fifty!!!!
Pauline and Ray joined us in the yellow peril, (nice spin Ray!!!), Mike brought along a Lotus exige, and well to say i was impressed with it would be an understatement!! Diane got to drive that aswell,(i didn't)
I even let my two Sons Mark and Nick drive the T350 on the track too!!
Thanks again mike for making her (and our) day so special, I think that she will never forget it.

Wish Diane a happy 50th from me fella. Hope I do something like that at my 50th, if I'm not on a boat somewhere chatting up 19 year old's and wearing that Greek medalion!!!

I never did take that offer up my Caine, hope he's well. I can only imagine it must have been superb and you learnt alot from him....did you take the T350 to it's limits? Were you impressed with it?

Take care.

It was a fantastic day!! I was trying my best hardest to impress Mr Caine, and never quite got the hang of it(to bloody old) thats my excuse.
But Diane exceld herself, and got mike's vote as the best of the day,(well i couldn't beat her on her birthday......Could i ??????)
she managed 152mph on the runway, i won't say what i did, but it was less than her!!

It was an excellent day.

Thank you to Dave and Diane for inviting us along to join the fun.

Dave pulled out all the stops for Diane's day and Diane had a whale of a time and really was excellent on the track getting faster each lap and managing a really good spin as she was trying so hard.

Michael was well impressed with her performance and it was clear that she was having a great time. Never to be forgotten.

A super way to spend a 'significant' birthday
( but I know from experience that too many 'Happy Birthdays' will get the thread closed )

So I'll just say ...great stuff Diane and

'Best Wishes' mate

Thanks everyone for the good wishes. I had a brilliant birthday and only wish that I could do it all again tomorrow, and the next day, and the next.... I was speechless when I found out what Dave had arranged cos I've always wanted to do a Track Day but had long since given up trying to persuade him to let me take our beloved onto a circuit.
I was a tad nervous on the way up to Bruntingthorpe but once in the car with Michael I concentrated on what he was telling me to do and went for it. The T350 was great (and the Exige wasn't bad either) and I had THE BEST time.
I managed 152 mph on the straight (just beating the fastest I'd ever been before, which was as a passenger last year in Alan's Tuscan S!!!)
"T350 RULES OK!"
Thanks to Michael for inspiring me with confidence, to the boys and Pauline and Ray for their company and most of all thanks to Dave for organising it all. If you ever get the chance to drive on a track then
GO FOR IT
Diane

Hi Diane - just catching up on the PHing and found this thread.

Dave has certainly set a high standard for the others to follow - only 5 years until my big birthday - so I hope Simon takes note. He will have to go a long way however, to better your birthday treats. (Shane Lynch in a kilt would be a good start )

Thanks to both you and Dave for letting Simon and I share part of your day - sorry we couldn't make the track - it sounds like you had a wonderful time.

Best wishes mate.
