I can remember a lot of discussion about the Cobra kit that followed, with production moving to Sri Lanka.

You sure? Didn't think that was anything to do with RV Dynamics - wasn't the Sri Lankan thing a BMW based cob that Peter Filby had some interest in?

Anyway the Nemesis is a rare and special car indeed - there are only 4/5 road going examples. If I had £15k and was looking for an exotica styled kitcar I'd climb all over everything else to get to this. Construction standard is very very high, as is engine tune. They look incredible in real life. Understand there may have been kit short comings but look at the build quality of this particualr example. Helluva lotta car for the money.

correct this is the RV Dynamics Nemesis and they moved to Sri Lanka and started making a cobra replica.... this particular nemesis sold on ebay a few years ago but I don't know the owner and it is of the original UK sourced spec.

I bought this kit around 8-9years ago, and scrapped it after I received the kit... mine came from sri lanka and some of it was simply dangerous as the quality and engineering was ashonishingly poor... I snapped one of the pedals off in my hand holding the pedal in one hand and the housing in another (weld failed) and the uprights were terribly designed and made of a horribly airated alloy and would definatelly have snapped in half at the first corner.
The chassis had a crumple zone within the passenger compartment!... I could go on as I lost a lot of money as I couldnt in any good concience sell it on... but Im past that now and the remains of it are stored around my land lol.

Reading the add it is indeed correct the body is foam cored and extremely strong, however it wasn't light, the tub alone was over 80kgs on its own! ... The new owner has clearly done a lot of work on that car as it does look very nice now and well finished, much better than when I last saw it.

The good news is it forced me to start my own design of car to my own spec etc and thus the GTT project was born smile
